Taiwan deepens agricultural cooperation with African ally, like-minded partners

The fourth session of the Intensive Smart Agriculture Training Course for African Elites under the African Elite Talent Cultivation Programme kicked off June 22 in Pingtung County, underscoring government commitment to promoting exchanges with its African ally and like-minded countries.

The course was launched by the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs in 2023, with 27 trainees from the public and industrial sectors of Eswatini, Congo, Ivory Coast, Kenya and Nigeria participating in this year’s program at the recommendation of the Embassy of the ROC (Taiwan) in the Kingdom of Eswatini and other representative offices in Africa, according to the MOE. The trainees will gain insight into Taiwan’s achievements in agricultural technology and sustainable development.
