Stress the safety and quality of raw materials as well as value-added exports, without endangering MIT (Made in Taiwan) agricultural goods
The agricultural raw materials of demonstration zone come from the global market and will fully comply with our country’s regulations on quarantine and inspection in order to ensure food safety. Moreover, for the sake of maintaining its reputation, the industry will set high standards on safety and quality of its brand as the demonstration zone aims to internationalize Taiwan’s agriculture. The government will also supervise the quality and safety control issues, as well as emphasize the sources of raw materials to make market segmentation, and prevent Taiwan’s agricultural goods from being damaged.
Potential benefits for agriculture in the free economic demonstration zone
The free economic demonstration zone plays a buffer zone in the process of trade liberalization, reducing negative impact on domestic agriculture and building large-scale production to increase value-added agriculture output by introducing foreign investment and technology. In addition, it can also do preparation for the trade liberalization to share its value-added benefits, and join the processing industry zone in advance to avoid the direct impact on the domestic primary agricultural industries. Attracting domestic and foreign companies to station in the demonstration zone do not only create jobs, it can also reach globally by means of foreign capital and its stronghold. Moreover, it can also contribute to the domestic agricultural industry with international standards through trial of liberalization of markets and regulatory flexibility in the free economic demonstration zone.
