Review of the Priority Management List of Hazardous Chemicals and Mid-term Plan for Surveillance and Monitoring of Hazardous Chemicals on Food Safety in Japan

On January 8, 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries(MAFF) revised the list of hazardous chemicals which should be managed as highest priority, taking the newest scientific findings, world trends and interest level into consideration.
Moreover, MAFF published the New Mid-Term Plan for surveillance and monitoring of hazardous chemicals on food safety. The Mid-Term Plan covers a period of five years from 2016 to 2020.
