Revision of the Basic Guideline for Bird and Animal Damage Prevention in Japan

On May 29, 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has announced the revision of the Basic guideline for implementing policy to prevent damage by birds and animals to agriculture, forestry and fisheries”.
 
The guideline was revised because the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries made a fundamental policy to strengthen to capture wild animals on December 2013, and because some part of Wildlife Protection and Hunting Management Law, Law No. 46 of 2014 was recently amended.
 
To enact the guideline is prescribed in “Act on Special Measures for Prevention of Damage Related to Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Caused by Wildlife, Act No. 134 of 2007.”
