Korean Government provides new small package rice to low income one-person household for free

On March 25, 2015, the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) and Ministry of Health and Welfare (MHW) announced that government is scheduled to provide new small package 10kg rice to low income one-person household for free every month starting April 1, 2015. It is changed from providing rice in the amount of 20kg to low income one-person household every two months. It aims to maintain high quality rice in the rice consumption of one-person household.
