The trade commission and agricultural affairs director of the Embassy of Chile recently spoke about Chilean wines having built a bigger share of the market since 2004, when the FTA took effect. In 2003, Chilean wines accounted for 6.5 % of the imported wine market. This rose sharply after the FTA and is now more than 20 %.
