Korea Rural Economic Institute Visit to Food and Fertilizer Technology Center

A research team from KREI (Korea Rural Economic Institute), led by Dr. Huh Duk (Research Director), visited Food and Fertilizer Technology Center for the Asian and Pacific Region (FFTC) on Dec 19, 2019. The purpose of the visit is to collect information on the research and development, production and consumption, import and export, and the distribution channel of major grain crops in Taiwan. Dr. Lao-Dar Juang, Deputy Director General of Agriculture and Food Agency (AFA), COA, and his colleagues, Dr. Yuhsin Chen, Researcher of Taichung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station, COA, and Dr. Yann-Rong Lin, Professor of Department of Agronomy, National Taiwan University (NTU) were invited to attend the meeting.
In the meeting, Dr. Huh introduced their research purposes, reported Korean oversea investment plans in grain crops, analyzed development and progress of oversea grains projects of Korea, and future perspectives. Dr. Lao-Dar Juang, Dr. Yuhsin Chen, and Dr. Yann-Rong Lin then responded to the issues raised by Dr. Huh. They provided valuable information and analysis to main grain crops issues in Taiwan.
